4. Submissions

CALL FOR PAPERS

The Local Organising Committee invites European PhD students at any stage of their PhD, as well as students who complete their PhD in 2017 to participate in the Workshop by submitting a contributed paper proposal (around two pages, single space and standard Arial 11 point type) which should include at least the motivation and the methodological framework plus an outline of main results.

Please, name your file with the last name of the first author. All documents should be submitted in PDF format (name-abstract.pdf). Be sure to review the PDF file you have created before sending it to check that text and formulas (if any) have transferred correctly.

To submit an abstract you first need to Register to the ConfTool system: # 7th EAAE PhD Workshop

Deadline for paper proposal submission: September 8th, 2017Abstracts must be submitted online through the submission platform (ConfTool system). Papers sent by email cannot be accepted.

Note: If you do not receive a confirmation e-mail (after user registration and after contribution submission) and you remember your user name and password, please log into the ConfTool system and revise your details by clicking on ‘Edit User Account Details’. Otherwise please contact the organizers at eaaeworkshop@creda.es 

Proposals will be evaluated by two referees following a standard double-blind process. Referees will be suggested by the Steering Committee. Authors from accepted proposals will be notified by September 18th, 2017(a letter of notification will be sent to authors through the ConfTool system).

Authors from accepted proposals will be requested to send the full paper by October 18th, 2017. In the notification letter the Organizing Committee will provide guidelines for full paper submission.


Accepted papers will be classified either as oral presentation or short oral presentation mainly based on the progress status of the research. Presenters of accepted papers should be prepared to act as discussants of other papers during the Workshop. Papers will be made available to discussants one month before starting the Workshop.

Both in the case of oral or short oral presentations, parallel 90-minute sessions will be scheduled. In oral presentations each presenter will have 20 minutes for presentation followed for discussant comments (5 min) and general discussion (5 min). In short oral presentations, the timing will be 10-3-2 minutes for presentation, discussant comments and general discussion, respectively.
