Observatory of Vineyards, Wine, and Cava

In this twelfth year of operation of the Observatory of Vine, Wine and Cava, from CREDA, four quarterly reports have been made, as established in its operation. The quarterly reports are delivered to the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, Food and the Natural Environment (DAAM) and to the Catalan Institute of Vine and Wine (INCAVI), in the months of March, June, September and December. reports from the Observatory of Vine, Wine and Cava are published on the DAAM website, in its section on Sectoral Observatories (in Statistics and Observatories). The information contained in the reports is informative and is given in graphic – numerical format. In all cases, a section for monitoring consumer prices is included.

As a novelty scheduled for 2019 and 2020, INCAVI, together with the AVC (Catalan Wine Association), is launching a sectorial Symposium: Vins Vinents 20- 30. Debate and strategic reflection for the future of the vineyard and wine in Catalonia. The symposium is organized in 4 large working groups. CREDA coordinates and executes, together with INCAVI, the activities of group 2 of Economy and Markets. This group of discussions revolves around three main axes: future trends in the consumption and markets of wine, wine tourism as an activity of economic diversification and the value chain.
