Berta Vidal Mones

Research / Phd Candidate

Berta Vidal has a background in biochemistry and holds a MSc in nutrition epidemiology and public health, with experience working in developing countries. Berta has also performed research in non-governmental organisations related to the assessment of food insecurity and dietary diversity among the beneficiaries of food waste prevention programs in the hospitality sector. Her main research interests relate to sustainable food systems, especially on value chain analysis and food waste prevention along the different stages of the food supply chain. Currently, Berta is conducting her PhD in food waste prevention through nudging strategies in the food service sector in Catalonia.
