Vacancy: Predoctoral Researcher (2 vacancies)

Location: Castelldefels (Barcelona)

Shift: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (35 in summer). Facilities for family reconciliation.

Duration of the contract: Start of the contract from January 2024. Contract for the completion of a doctorate of 3 years with a possible extension for a fourth additional year.

 

Specific Functions:
  • Collaborate as a researcher in various national and international projects and studies carried out by CREDA in the field of agri-food economics under the supervision of the project manager.
  • Obtaining, analysing information and writing reports that respond to the objectives set.
  • Writing and publishing scientific articles based on the research activity, as well as other topics that may arise.
  • Writing the PhD Thesis.

 

Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Agricultural Sciences, Social Sciences, Statistics, Mathematics (if the other requirements are met, other types of Master’s degree will be assessed).
  • Good level of writing and communication in English.
  • Knowledge and experience in quantitative and qualitative methods of human behaviour analysis (surveys, interviews, focus groups …)
  • Computer skills (office, mainly Excel) at advanced level
  • Availability to travel.

 

Specific Merits:
  • Experience in projects, regular collaboration with partners in the field of research and public policies (especially outside Spain).
  • Valuable good level of writing and communication in Catalan.
  • Valuable experience in a similar place.
  • Valuable experience in methodologies related to data analysis (Choice experiments, cost and benefit analysis).
  • Register of publications of scientific articles in journals.
